These resources are generally for those in the Greater Hickory area. Please let me know if you have any suggestions!

Sign your children up and they'll get one free book in the mail every month until their 5th birthday! The books even have activities and discussion questions to get the most out of the book and build new skills.

Catawba County Partnership for Children
Focusing on early childhood education, their website has information about their services, including classes for parents and assistance find childcare.

Organized by the Catawba County Partnership for Children (see above). Local families can receive free emergency diaper supplies once a month, up to six times per year. You can call 828-695-6565 for more information.

Pregnancy Care Center of Catawba Valley
Christian organization that supports people through pregnancy and the first two years of baby's life, free of cost. Check their website for more details about their services, including parenting classes, pregnancy testing, counseling, and ultrasounds. They also have a clothes and supplies closet.

WIC (Women, Infants, and Children)
Provides financial and informational support to pregnant and postpartum women and children until age 5. It is government funded, and provides nutrition counseling, breastfeeding support, and assistance purchasing food and formula.
