Lactation Support

Mother Breastfeeding Baby

Nursing a baby (or babies!) can be beautiful, fulfilling, and joyful, but also challenging and confusing. As a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, I provide care and education throughout the feeding journey.
A week of text/email support is included in all Lactation services at no extra cost, so don't worry if you forget to ask something during our time together!

In-Home Breastfeeding Consults

Some situations I commonly support families through include, but are not limited to:

  • assessing latch and assisting with positions

  • establishing supply in the early days

  • learning to pump and bottle feed

  • starting solid foods

  • adjusting a low or over supply

  • weaning

Consults take place in the comfort of your own home and last between 1-2 hours.

Breastfeeding Classes

I also offer private and group Prenatal Breastfeeding Classes that cover how to prepare, what to expect at each stage, how to troubleshoot basic problems, the truth behind common myths, how to make the transition to pumping/bottle-feeding as stress-free as possible, basic lactation biology, and more! A partner or other support person is encouraged to join, and we can talk about ways for them to be involved.

Classes last about 2 hours. Depending on your location, private classes may be virtual or in-home. Includes a document with all the information I cover as well as additional resources to help you throughout your breastfeeding relationship.

Personalized Private Class: $100

Virtual Group Class: $50

A note on language: I often use the term breastfeeding as "Certified Breastfeeding Specialist" is the title used by my certifying organization. Also, in a medical sense, it is still called breast tissue, regardless of gender (It is still called breast cancer, even in men, for example.) HOWEVER, I adjust my use of language regarding body parts, parent names, pronouns, etc. to the preferences of my clients, which we go over at the beginning of care. Please feel free to reach out with any concerns or ways I can do better.
