Pregnancy and Birth
-
Two prenatal visits (about 2 hours each). We get to know each other and talk about what's most important for you so we can try to preserve those things even if plans change. We practice birth positions and phrases to help you advocate for yourself to build confidence and muscle memory so that when it's time for the birth, you can focus on moving through the experience. You tell me the vibes you're looking for so we can create a birth space that feels like you (Cozy faerie garden? Fun dance party? Mighty nature goddess among her minions? You tell me!). If you have a support person, we'll also talk about ways that they can support you through labor.
-
Access to my lending library of pregnancy, birth, postpartum, lactation, and mental health books. I love an excuse to buy more books, so give me a heads-up if there's something you want to read that I don't have yet!
-
A fillable pdf copy as well as printer-friendly version of my Postpartum Planning Workbook to help you clarify your goals, reduce feelings of overwhelm, and prepare for the Fourth Trimester
-
Nonjudgemental education. I am a nerd, and part of what I love about doing what I do is that there is always more to learn and explore. Knowledge is power, and there is no informed consent without being informed. I don't want my clients to look back and think, "If I had known that was an option, I would have done things differently.
-
Access to my collection of digital resources (Have an idea for something I should add? Let me know! I'd be happy to work on it.)
-
Encouragement and care for you and a support person, if you have one, throughout your labor and birth
-
On-call service starting at 38 weeks, or before then if you know ahead of time you will be induced early, for example.
-
Care through the golden hour, including help with getting breastfeeding off on the right foot, if that is your plan.
-
1 in-home postpartum visit within the first week or so after birth to make sure you're settling in and connect you to any resources you may need
-
Text/phone support from when we sign the contract through 2 weeks postpartum. Got a question about some new wild thing your body is doing? Looking for a referral to a provider you'll click with? Need someone to talk you down from Instagram-induced anxiety? I'm here (though sometimes at odd hours if I'm working nights at the time)!
